The Ontario Native Women’s Association is hiring an Indigenous Women Support Worker to provide culturally relevant, brief services aimed at supporting Indigenous women. This position can be remote/hybrid and emphasizes trauma-informed care. You will engage directly with Indigenous women, delivering tailored support that addresses unique emotional, social, and physical needs.
Expertise in community resources is essential as you will help clients access various services, ensuring their wellness and empowerment. You will collaborate effectively with other service providers to foster a supportive setting. Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support and assessment for clients
Develop and maintain community resource connections
Coordinate access to necessary services and interventions
Facilitate culturally relevant healing practices
Document client progress and outcomes Requirements:
Degree or diploma in relevant field preferred
Minimum 3 years in trauma and addiction services
Proven experience in brief services and crisis management
Robust time management and organizational abilities
Valid G Class Driver’s License needed Deliver vital support to Indigenous women through your expertise in family care and advocacy at ONWA.
