As a Mental Wellness and Addictions Support Worker, you will contribute to the holistic health of individuals in your community. Your role includes facilitating skill development and land-based cultural sessions, ensuring clients can develop coping strategies and living skills. Collaboration with the Mental Wellness Team is key to fostering a safe and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support for mental health services
• Facilitate group and one-on-one skill-building sessions
• Assist in planning cultural wellness activities
• Maintain professional boundaries with clients
• Document client interactions and progress accurately
Requirements:
• Post Secondary education in a related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with complex needs
• Knowledge of recovery-oriented service delivery
• Robust communication and organizational skills
• Understanding of mental health and addictions issues
