Overview

We are a family seeking a part-time caregiver to work with our elderly Italian mom, in her home, in lower Sahali, Kamloops. She requires full- time care . We are looking for people who are kind and observant.

She does have moderate dementia and sundowns. This is a part time, 1- 4 shifts per week for a 6 week term. There is the possibility of longer term employment. We need reliable kind people with experience with the elderly and dementia care.

It is a non-smoking home and a friendly team workplace

Duties
Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any changes in health status.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, feeding, and mobility support.
Maintain a clean and secure setting by performing light housekeeping duties.




Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance her mental well-being.
Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care strategies.
Communicate effectively with family members and other care workers.

Experience
Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home care or assisted living is preferred.
Familiarity with medication administration protocols and ceiling track lifts is beneficial.
Experience working with seniors is highly valued.
Knowledge of dementia care techniques is essential.
A background in nursing or healthcare can enhance your qualifications for this role.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
