Tasks Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
Supervise other workers
Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Support for newcomers and refugees Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work setting for newcomers and/or refugees
Support for Indigenous people Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
