Join the South Asian Adult Day Program as a Recreation Programmer focused on enhancing the quality of life for seniors in Richmond Hill. Innovate and evaluate wellness programs to support aging adults in a nurturing setting.

In this full-time role, you will design and implement engaging social activities for older adults struggling with age-related conditions. Reporting to the Day Program Supervisor, your responsibility is to create individual and group programs that prioritize health, wellness, and companionship. With a background in Therapeutic Recreation and at least two years of experience, you will understand the therapeutic value of recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Implement unique wellness programs tailored for seniors
• Evaluate existing activities for their effectiveness




• Collaborate with team members to enhance program offerings
• Ensure a friendly and supportive environment for participants
• Maintain accurate records of programming assessments

Requirements:
• Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related discipline
• At least 2 years in a similar role
• Experience with dementia care and cognitive impairments
• Current Food Handler’s course certification required
• Knowledge of Montessori principles is a benefit
