Product Stylist & Photographer (1 year contract - Maternity leave)

Job Purpose

The Product Stylist & Photographer is responsible for the creative styling and photography of products for use on packaging and across marketing materials. They will work closely with the Graphic Design and Creative teams to ensure all visual content reflects the brand's aesthetic and strategic objectives. This is a temporary role for a 1 year maternity leave cover, with the possibility to be shifted to a permanent full time employment.

Responsibilities

Product Styling

- Conceptualize and execute creative product styling ideas, ensuring products are presented in a visually compelling manner that aligns with the brand identity.
- Select appropriate props, backgrounds, and settings to showcase product features effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop styling concepts that support seasonal themes and specific product launches.
- Maintain an organized inventory of props, backdrops, and styling tools, ensuring they are readily available for photo shoots.
- Demonstrate the ability to visualize and create photo sets while adhering to the creative direction established by the Art Director.
- Assemble or create product samples when final production samples are not yet available.

Product Photography

- Plan, organize, and execute product photo shoots, ensuring high-quality images that meet the company's brand standards.
- Capture a variety of product images, including lifestyle shots, flat lays, and detailed close-ups, tailored for different platforms and marketing needs.




- Edit and retouch photos using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom to enhance image quality while maintaining visual consistency across all assets.
- Collaborate with the Design and Creative teams to ensure images accurately represent the products and align with the overall brand vision.
- Work closely with Product Designers and other stakeholders to understand each product's unique selling points and target audience.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Consider the post-production and retouching process during photo shoots, making appropriate photography and lighting decisions to optimize final image quality.

Qualifications/competencies

- Diploma in Presentation Design, Photography, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in product photography.
- Experience as a Product Stylist, Product Photographer, or in a similar role within the toy, fashion, or consumer products industry.
- Experience with photo retouching using Adobe Photoshop.
- Knowledge of AI-powered features in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Firefly.
- Proficiency with professional photography equipment, lighting techniques, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
- Robust attention to detail, color, composition, and visual design.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Up to date with current design, photography, and consumer trends.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
