Duties
Safely operate flatbed trucks to transport freight over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Secure loads properly using straps, chains, and other securing devices to prevent shifting or damage during transit
Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including brakes, tires, lights, and load security equipment, ensuring optimal operation
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary, following proper safety procedures
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including manifests, bills of lading, and delivery logs




Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules
Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly for timely repairs

Requirements
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with flatbed trucks or heavy equipment operation
Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and load securing techniques
Basic automotive repair skills for minor troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
Solid communication skills to coordinate deliveries and ensure customer satisfaction
Physical ability to lift heavy loads, climb onto trucks, and perform inspections as needed
