As Fire
Chief, you will be the senior officer responsible for the operational management of the fire department. You will ensure effective emergency responses and maintain high training standards. Your prior experience should reflect a commitment to developing a skilled workplace for firefighters and engaging with the community. Key Responsibilities:
Direct overall operations and leadership of the fire department
Maintain training standards for all firefighting personnel
Implement community risk reduction strategies and education
Cultivate teamwork and accountability within the department
Ensure proactive communication with municipal councils and agencies Requirements:
Minimum ten years as a firefighter and five years as a senior officer
NFPA 1010 Level 2 Firefighter and NFPA 1041 Instructor I
Class 3 or Class 1 Driver's License (air endorsed)
Relevant post-secondary education in fire service administration
