We’re looking for a Technology Platform & IT Specialist.

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Technology Platform & IT Specialist is a hybrid role that supports Intercept’s operational backbone and innovation agenda. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for leading the evaluation and enablement of new marketing and AI platforms across the business, and triaging core IT needs, maintaining agency security posture.

This is a hands‑on, cross‑functional role ideal for someone with an IT foundation and a strong interest in emerging technology. From troubleshooting everyday tech challenges to introducing new tools that level up agency performance, this person will be the go‑to for all things platforms and systems.

As a member of Intercept’s AI Council, this role will help shape how the agency adopts and integrates new technologies, balancing innovation with security and operational excellence. It’s also a strong stepping stone to a future role in operations leadership or technical innovation management, with opportunities to grow into more strategic oversight as expertise deepens and impact scales.

Responsibilities




Platform Sourcing & Enablement

Research and recommend new marketing and AI platforms that align with agency needs

Evaluate platforms for security, compliance, and scalability before agency-wide adoption

Collect and maintain best practices, case studies, and partner pricing

Complete certifications and training in priority platforms

Lead internal training and upskilling sessions to support agency adoption

Maintain a centralized library of approved and evaluated tools

Implementation & Optimization

Review internal briefs and recommend the right‑fit tools for client and internal projects

Lead implementation and onboarding of selected platforms

Proactively identify and recommend optimizations to increase efficiency or impact

Support agency innovation initiatives by collaborating with cross‑functional teams such as Intercept’s AI council

Support agency website updates and light troubleshooting in WordPress, ensuring smooth performance and up‑to‑date content.

IT Triage & Support

Triage first‑level IT issues (e.g., password resets, access issues, connectivity)

Monitor for security risks and support resolution with external partners (e.g., Microsoft)

Coordinate vendor support for specialized or escalated issues

Track hardware and software usage across the agency





Coordinate with internal teams or vendors for larger‑scale website issues beyond day‑to‑day WordPress updates.

Maintain visibility into the agency’s IT stack and risk posture

Maintain transparent documentation of IT processes, resolutions, and system updates

Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in IT support, cybersecurity, or marketing technology role (agency or creative environment a plus)

Background in IT systems, support, or security (formal training, certifications, or equivalent hands‑on experience all welcome)

Curiosity and demonstrated passion for exploring new tools, especially AI and martech

Strong communication and teaching skills; able to translate complex tools into approachable guidance

Comfortable leading conversations with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Experience with WordPress (content updates, troubleshooting, or light site maintenance) is an asset
