Support the daily operations at Bentley Place as a full time Program Assistant. This role focuses on providing essential emotional, physical, and social supports for clients while ensuring a protected environment.
The Program Assistant position offers a temporary full-time opportunity with a shift from 4:00 PM to midnight, Monday through Friday. You will work under the Program Manager to assist marginalized populations in developing life skills, administer medication, and facilitate recreational activities. By ensuring client needs are met effectively, you will be part of a committed team dedicated to fostering client independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide daily support for clients' physical and emotional needs
• Assist clients in developing life skills and household management
• Administer medication and reminders per established policies
• Oversee client participation in recreational activities
• Maintain and document records accurately
Requirements:
• Grade 12 and Community Social Service certificate
• 1 year experience with marginalized populations
• Transparent criminal records and Tuberculosis Screening
• First Aid certification and CPR required
• Nonviolent crisis intervention training completed
