Job Description
Join our team at the Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course as a Greenskeeper and play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and quality of our world‑renowned golf course. As a Greenskeeper, you will work in a stunning natural setting, ensuring that the course remains in pristine condition, providing an exceptional golfing experience for our guests.

Starting Rate
$20.51 per hour. We recognize tenure through our compensation. Hourly rates increase after six months, and yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $22.62.

Season Preference
Preference will be given to candidates who are able to stay the entire season from as soon as possible to October 15.

Job Duties Include

Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service

Cutting grasses with a wide variety of self propelled and push type machines

Smoothing bunker sand with hand rakes and machines

Setting the golf course for play

Labor intensive work in the form of digging, lifting, pushing, walking fast, and assorted tasks

Qualifications

Previous Turf Care, Gardening or Landscaping experience is an asset

Valid Class 5 driver's license and a 5 year drivers abstract dated within 30 days

Perform tasks under minimal supervision

Knowledge of tools, methods, and materials used in grounds and landscape maintenance work

Understanding of the rules of golf

Ability to work in a team and independently





Physical Aspects of Position

Constant standing and walking throughout shift

Lifting & Carrying up to 70 lbs.

Pushing & Pulling up to 50 lbs.

Bending & Kneeling

Repetitive tasks and movements

Working early mornings, as early as 5am

Working in a variety of temperatures and conditions (snow, heat, rain)
