Availability Required: Must be available any day of the week, between 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Columbus Café is hiring an experienced Barista who can confidently operate in a fast-paced café workplace with minimal supervision. This is not an entry-level role; we’re looking for someone who brings skill, efficiency, and consistency to every shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare espresso-based beverages and specialty drinks to standard
Maintain consistency in espresso extraction, milk steaming, and drink quality
Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume setting
Operate POS system, manage orders, and handle transactions
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bar area
Requirements:
Previous barista experience in a café or coffee shop required
Solid knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and drink preparation
Ability to work independently and under pressure during peak hours
Professional, friendly demeanour with robust communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to required availability
Comfortable using POS systems
Additional Notes:
Some training on our menu and systems will be provided
This role is not suited for beginners learning barista fundamentals
