Shape meals and support your community as a Cook I with Alberta Health Services. This role includes food preparation, portioning, and assembly, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards.

As a Cook I, you’ll prepare multi-ingredient recipes and re-thermalize precooked meals with minimal supervision. Following AHS guidelines, you will ensure cleanliness and maintain food safety while working in a agile environment. Your role is pivotal in delivering quality meals to residents at the Galahad Care Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare various multi-ingredient recipes from scratch
• Portion and assemble menu items with accuracy
• Ensure cleanliness of cooking equipment and work areas
• Utilize re-thermalization techniques for meals
• Follow food safety standards and AHS guidelines

Requirements:
• Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
• Physically capable of lifting up to 46lbs
• Walk and stand for entire shift duration
• Food Sanitation and Hygiene Certificate or equivalent
• Customer service experience is preferred
