Make an impact in the community with Carrier Sekani Family Services as a full time Care Aide, specializing in substance use and addictions in Vanderhoof, BC. Work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide essential client support.

As a Registered Care Aide, you will play a vital role in medically supervised withdrawal management and treatment. Collaborating with nurses, you will help manage patient care, enhance daily living skills, and participate in developing personalized care plans. Your engagement with clients will focus on building trust and providing emotional support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build therapeutic relationships with clients and families
• Perform nursing tasks under Registered Nurse supervision




• Assist clients with personal care and mobility
• Monitor and respond to patient needs and emergencies
• Document observations to aid care plan development

Requirements:
• Certification in Basic First Aid
• Completion of Transportation of Dangerous Goods course
• Empathetic and patient-centered approach
• Excellent observational skills
• Relevant experience in healthcare or addictions preferred
