Make a difference as a Mental Health Worker in Sandy Merriman House, dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals. Provide essential support and resources in our community.
This full-time, permanent position requires compassionate professionals committed to ending homelessness and educating clients. You will engage in case planning, daily support, and overdose responses while advocating for clients facing barriers like mental health issues and housing vulnerability. In-house training ensures professional development and understanding of diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide case planning and housing services to clients
• Assist with daily physical and emotional support
• Respond effectively to overdose situations
• Register and orient new clients efficiently
• Advocate for client needs and connect to resources
Requirements:
• Diploma in a related Social or Human Services field
• Minimum of two years in a relevant work setting
• Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C certification
• Successful Criminal Record Check completion
• Knowledge of community support agencies and resources
