AdaptAbilities is seeking a dedicated Community Specialist II for its In-Home adult program. This full-time permanent role runs Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is all about empowering individuals with disabilities. Candidates should have hands-on experience working with vulnerable populations, including personal and medical care support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct support in engaging, protected environments
• Implement person-centered and behavior plans effectively
• Create inclusion opportunities for complex situations
• Foster meaningful relationships and personal interests
• Communicate with integrity with all stakeholders
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or relevant post-secondary education
• 2-3 years of related experience in the field
• Strong skills in behavior management and redirection
• Clear Police Information Check and Intervention Record Check
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and crisis intervention
