Become a key player in maintaining HVAC systems with the University of Calgary as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic. The University of Calgary is seeking a Full-time Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic within its Facilities Management team.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operation of HVAC systems, ensuring energy-efficient and reliable service across the Residence buildings.
Your role will require troubleshooting of complex systems and independent problem-solving in a high-pressure environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain HVAC and Refrigeration systems
- Develop and analyze BMS reports for system optimization
- Supervise contractors and oversee compliance with university standards
- Coordinate multi-trade collaborations for HVAC projects
- Lead troubleshooting and repairs of pneumatic and electronic controls Requirements:
- Journeyman Red Seal Refrigeration trade certificate
- Minimum 8 years of field experience in HVAC mechanics
- Proficient with BMS automation platforms
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
