The Melfort Curling Club is seeking an Ice Technician to oversee ice preparation for a six-sheet facility. Candidates should have some ice-making experience and an interest in curling. The role involves independent work, ensuring all ice conditions meet league and event standards, while benefiting from funded training opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, maintain, and remove curling ice
• Flood, pebble, scrape, nip, and monitor ice
• Ensure consistent conditions across all sheets
• Prepare ice for leagues, youth programs, and events
• Operate and maintain ice-making equipment
Requirements:
• Interest in or participation in curling
• Experience as an ice technician is a plus
• Willingness to attend funded technician courses
• Ability to perform physical tasks independently
• Clean Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check
