Become a key player in patient care as a Radiation Therapist I at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. This full-time role focuses on delivering precise radiation treatments to cancer patients, ensuring optimal care and support.
As a Radiation Therapist I, you will prepare, plan, and deliver specialized ionizing radiation treatments as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist. With a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Radiation Therapy and required licenses, you will work under the supervision of a Radiation Therapist II. No previous experience is necessary, making this an excellent entry-level chance for aspiring radiation therapists.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver radiation treatments for patients
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists on treatment plans
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment logs
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in treatment administration
• Facilitate effective communication with patients and their families
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Radiation Therapy
• Certification for Basic Life Saver (BLS)-C
• Licensed with SAMRT and member of CAMRT
• Proficient with computer systems and applications
• Understanding of culturally responsive care practices
