The Assistant Horticulturist role supports the Lead Horticulturalist at RCC in maintaining gardens and a vegetable program. This full-time, in office position, ideal for physically fit individuals, requires physical stamina and a proactive work ethic. Assist with planning, caring for plant materials, and enhancing landscaped areas to ensure a memorable experience for club members.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and maintain plant materials and supplies
• Care for flower beds, hanging baskets, and landscapes
• Apply fertilizers and soil amendments for health
• Monitor plant health and control pests
• Operate landscaping equipment effectively

Requirements:
• Background or interest in horticulture
• Previous gardening or groundskeeping experience preferred
• Knowledge of West Coast Plant ID is a plus
• Valid BC Drivers License required
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
