Operations &Automation ManagerAbout the roleWe are looking for an Operations & Automation Manager to join a fast-growingoperations environment where systems, processes, and automation are activelyevolving. This role sits between frontline operations and senior leadership and focuseson improving throughput, identifying operational bottlenecks, and supporting automationand systems initiatives across the business.The scope of this role is intentionally hands-on and is expected to evolve as theindividual grows with the business. This role is well suited to someone early in theirmanagement career who has had exposure across engineering, operations, or process-driven environments and is ready to take on broader ownership.What you’ll be responsible forSpend time on the floor observing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and translating operational issues into practical improvementsSupport and drive process, systems, and automation initiatives that improve fulfillment throughput, accuracy, and reliabilityUse data to understand performance trends, validate assumptions, and support operational decision-making (e.G. KPIs, throughput, cycle times)Partner closely with operations leads, engineering/automation teams, and senior leadership to improve execution and ways of workingStep in hands-on during peak periods to support operations and resolve issues as neededContribute to the ongoing development of processes, tools,
and operating models as the business scalesWhat we’re looking for3–4 years post-graduation experienceEngineering or engineering-adjacent background (e.G. Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Engineering & Operations), with a clear interest in operations rather than deep technical designExperience in fulfillment, logistics, manufacturing, or automation-enabled operational environmentsStrong comfort working with data (Excel / Google Sheets required; SQL or BI exposure is aplus)Experience in roles where scope is broad, priorities evolve, and learning happens quicklyComfortable giving direct, constructive feedback and working across different personalitiesWillingness to be hands-on and take ownership rather than managing from a distanceExperience in graduate development programs, rotational roles, or cross-functional project environments is considered an asset.What this role is notNot a deep automation, controls, or design engineering roleNot a project-management-only roleNot a hands-off people management positionWhy this roleHigh exposure to senior operations leadershipOpportunity to move beyond project support into end-to-end ownershipRole scope designed to expand as the business and individual growFast-moving workplace with real operational complexityCompetitive salary: $85,000–$95,000 CAD, depending on experience.
