As a Wound Ostomy Resource Nurse, you will engage in holistic assessments and treatment planning for individuals with wounds and ostomies. Collaborating with an interprofessional team, your contributions will build wound knowledge and capacity, benefiting both clients and healthcare providers. Your position will be integral to enhancing client outcomes through education, consultation, and program support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed holistic assessments of clients
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans in collaboration with the team
• Mentor and educate care providers on wound and ostomy care
• Optimize care through quality monitoring and review
• Participate in research projects and conference presentations
Requirements:
• RN with advanced wound and ostomy education
• Strong teaching and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and flexibility to travel
• Commitment to ongoing education
• Knowledge of community healthcare preferred
