The opportunity:Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicatedSenior Bridge Engineerto join our team in our Calgaryoffice. In this role you will be responsible for carrying out detailed technical work and leading design teams while managing projects within the defined budget, and quality requirements. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team active on several exciting bridge projects throughout Alberta. you are an excellent communicator with effective organizational skills and leadership potential, who thrives in a energetic work environment. Your abilities will be strengthened and grown through a range of projects focused on the delivery and management of bridge projects in Alberta.Planning, designing, and providing technical expertise on bridges and civil structure projects, with a primary focus in client service for Provincial and Major Urban clients.Leading a structural team in analysis, design, evaluation and preparation of calculations and drawings for bridge projects.Preparing technical reports following technical analysis, modelling, and design calculations.Preparing proposals and participating in business development/marketing initiatives for the group.Preparing bid and contract documentation.Monitoring, controlling and reporting project status internally and externally.Aiding in financial arrangements for projects including fee forecasting, preparation, and allocation.Providing guidance, including mentoring, and instruction, to junior and intermediate staff.Does this sound like you?Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university; post-graduate degree inStructural Engineering is an asset.Registered as a Skilled Engineer with APEGA.20+ years of progressive experience in bridge engineering within the consulting industry.Superior planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational skills.Committed team player and highly self-motivated.Related experience with Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors and City of Calgary is an asset.This position will require occasional travel.Valid driver's licence.About Us:At Associated Engineering, we're passionate about not only the work we do but the communities we live and work in.
