WhatsApp Group: Link Role Overview The Project Control Officer – Intermediate will provide project coordination and delivery support for complex technology, product, and business initiatives within Supply Ontario. The successful candidate will support projects using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies, with a strong focus on project governance, documentation, scheduling, reporting, stakeholder coordination, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies. This role will provide day-to-day project support for the Unified Provider Platform (UPP) and HALO projects, helping ensure accurate tracking, effective communication, governance compliance, and successful delivery across multiple releases and workstreams.
The position requires strong project management fundamentals, experience supporting software application delivery teams, hands-on knowledge of Confluence and Jira, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Must-Have Qualifications 5+ years of relevant project coordination or project management experience
Demonstrated experience supporting software application delivery teams, including product and development teams
Proven experience working in both Waterfall and Agile project environments
Hands-on experience with Confluence and Jira for documentation, tracking, reporting, and collaboration
Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including governance, milestones, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies
Experience working in healthcare, health IT, enterprise IT, or similar complex environments Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support assigned projects throughout the complete project lifecycle
Track and report project progress, milestones, risks, issues, actions, dependencies, and deliverables
Prepare,
coordinate, and maintain project schedules, release plans, integrated plans, and roadmaps
Support the preparation of governance materials, approval documents, briefing notes, and decision records
Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, logistics, agendas, materials, and stakeholder participation
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, pre-reads, presentations, and supporting materials
Record and distribute meeting minutes, decisions, risks, issues, and action items
Track and follow up on action items and stakeholder commitments to ensure timely completion
Support Project Managers and Product Owners with release planning and delivery coordination
Act as a central coordination point between technology teams, product teams, business stakeholders, and vendors
Support change management and project communication activities
Coordinate activities and dependencies across related products and business process initiatives
Maintain accurate project documentation and governance artefacts
Support project reporting, dashboards, status updates, and executive summaries
Assist with identifying and escalating project risks, issues, and dependencies Required Skills Project coordination experience in Waterfall and Agile environments
Strong working knowledge of Confluence, Jira, and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Understanding of project governance, reporting, controls, milestones, risks, and dependencies
Experience preparing and maintaining project artefacts and documentation
Strong communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple workstreams, priorities, and releases concurrently
Strong organizational and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Desired Skills Experience supporting large and complex digital or platform transformation initiatives
Knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban
Experience working with Hybrid delivery models
Exposure to enterprise governance frameworks and stage-gate approval processes

Experience working with cross-functional teams across technology, product, business, and vendor organizations

Experience supporting project governance, product, and project teams – 25 Points Total: 100 Points Deliverables The Project Control Officer will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the following key deliverables: Accurate and timely status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries
Coordination and tracking of dependencies across related products and business process initiatives
Support for delivery of the Unified Provider Platform (UPP) across multiple releases
Support for delivery of the HALO project across multiple releases
Maintenance of integrated project plans, schedules, and roadmaps
Preparation and coordination of governance submissions, presentations, decks, and approval materials
Accurate maintenance of project documentation, action logs, risk and issue registers, and other governance artefacts Additional Terms The engagement is for 230 Business Days, with an option to extend for up to an additional 254 days at the Agency's discretion.
The Engagement Assignment may also be extended for unused Business Days at the Agency's discretion.
The selected resource must comply with all applicable Agency policies and procedures.
Agency systems cannot be accessed from outside the province of Ontario without prior authorization.
Agency assets, including laptops and related equipment, cannot be removed from the province of Ontario without prior written approval from the Agency.
This position is currently classified as Hybrid.
The selected resource may be required to work onsite up to 5 days per week, subject to the Hiring Manager's discretion.
