Job Description
In Housekeeping, you are at the heart of hotel operations. As a Guest Attendant, you will take ownership of assigned guest rooms and suites, ensuring they are clean, comfortable, beautifully presented and ready to welcome our guests.

What You Will Be Doing

Consistently provide thoughtful, professional and personalized guest service

Clean, service and prepare assigned guest rooms, suites and bathrooms in accordance with Fairmont standards and departmental procedures

Ensure rooms are presented to the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort and quality before guest arrival

Replace linens, towels, amenities and guest supplies, ensuring each room is fully stocked and guest‑ready

Meet departmental productivity expectations while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail

Anticipate and respond promptly to guest needs, requests and special preferences

Protect guest privacy and the security of guest belongings at all times

Promptly report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment and unusual occurrences

Identify, document and submit lost‑and‑found items in accordance with Hotel procedures

Maintain housekeeping carts, pantries, equipment, linen and storage areas in a clean, safe and organized condition

Safely use and care for cleaning chemicals, materials, equipment and required personal protective equipment

Follow Hotel policies, health and safety requirements, sustainability practices and Fairmont brand standards

Work collaboratively with Housekeeping and other Hotel departments to support efficient operations and guest satisfaction

Perform other reasonable duties consistent with the position, as assigned

Complete all required onboarding, safety and Housekeeping training within the established timelines

Participate in ongoing coaching, skills development and brand‑standard updates

Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality and readiness for assigned shifts

Meet established standards for room quality, productivity, safety and guest satisfaction





Accept feedback and apply coaching to support continuous improvement

Qualifications
What We Are Looking for

A warm, caring and service‑focused personality

A secondary school diploma or equivalent

Previous customer service experience in hospitality, tourism, retail or another service‑oriented environment

Previous Housekeeping or luxury hotel experience is an asset, but not required

Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness and quality

Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to meet productivity expectations

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer proficiency

The ability to communicate effectively in English

A reliable, adaptable and professional approach

The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Good judgment, initiative and respect for guest confidentiality

Physical Aspects of This Role

Continuous standing and walking throughout the shift

Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, stretching and climbing stairs

Frequent lifting and carrying of linens, supplies and equipment weighing up to approximately 23 kg / 50 lbs.

Frequent pushing and pulling of housekeeping carts and equipment

Repetitive use of the hands, wrists and arms while vacuuming, scrubbing, cleaning and making beds

The ability to safely work with cleaning chemicals, materials and equipment

The ability to maintain quality, productivity and safe working practices in a physically demanding, fast‑paced environment
