Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and reconciliation of bank and inventory-related accounts. This role will prepare and analyze financial statements, maintain accurate financial records, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and cannabis industry-specific reporting requirements, while collaborating with operations and leadership to provide explicit financial insights. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Camrose, AB, requiring regular interaction with production, sales, and management teams to support informed decision-making and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including experience with general ledger management, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation.
- Candidates should possess skills in budgeting, forecasting,



and financial analysis to support planning, cost control, and strategic decision-making.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets, and be comfortable working with ERP or inventory tracking systems.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of tax, compliance, and regulatory requirements, preferably with experience in highly regulated industries such as cannabis, agriculture, or manufacturing.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Candidates should ideally have a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional designations (CPA or in progress) are considered an asset.
- Candidates should possess a high level of integrity, discretion with sensitive information, and an interest in contributing to the long-term success of a growing cannabis brand.
