The role emphasizes strong data stewardship, analytical rigor, and operational discipline, leveraging skills in data operations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of investment risk data and analytics. The Associate will work closely with cross-functional teams (Investment Risk, Investments, Investment Operation, and Technology teams) to intake evolving data requirements, implement scalable production processes, and uphold rigorous data quality standards.## Key Responsibilities* Support investment risk related projects with a focus on investment risk operations on private market assets (private equity, infrastructure, real estate, private credit).* Perform data validation,
reconciliation, and reasonability checks on risk modeling inputs and outputs to ensure accuracy and integrity of risk analytics and reporting.* Assist in the production, maintenance, and enhancement of investment risk data, reports, and analytics used by internal stakeholders.* Apply strong data stewardship practices, including documentation of data sources, assumptions, controls, and methodologies supporting risk analytics.* Collaborate with Investment Operation, Technology, and Data teams to onboard new data sources and enhance risk system integrations.* Identify data quality issues, process gaps, and control weaknesses, and proactively recommend improvements, automation, or remediation actions.* Portfolio related investment risk research and assessments on new private market transactions (private equity, infrastructure, real estate, private credit) including risk analysis, sector/region concentrations, idiosyncratic risk, and stress testing.## Qualifications and Experience* Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.* 3 - 5 years of experience in investment risk, investment operations, data analytics, or a related analytical role.* Knowledge and experience in private market (private equity, infrastructure, real estate, private credit) is strongly preferred.* Demonstrated experience with data validation, reconciliation, and quality controls in a production or analytical environment.* Proficiency in SQL and strong skills in Python, R, VBA, or similar analytical tools.* High attention to detail with the ability to identify data inconsistencies, anomalies,
and process improvement opportunities.* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain analytical results.* Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across investment, risk, operations, and technology teams.* Interest in continuous improvement, automation, and the application of data best practices to investment risk analytics.The base salary range for this position is CAD $70,000.00 - $100,000.00. The placement within the range is determined by the range of market pay for the specific position, as well as the candidate's knowledge, skillset and experience relative to the requirements of the position and to internal peers.
