Our Team
DarkVision produces the world’s most advanced acoustic-based imaging platform for Oil & Gas and industrial asset inspection applications. Our Manufacturing team builds subcomponents, subassemblies, and final assemblies for our state‑of‑the‑art ultrasound probes.
You will have the opportunity to learn many new skills and carry out a variety of unique, hands‑on tasks. If you like variety and enjoy picking up new skills outside of your comfort zone, this is the perfect role for you.
What You Will Do
- Forming and fabricating piezo‑electric transducers, micro‑soldering, molding, etc.
- Building research apparatus such as test platforms, test jigs, and our core products.
- Carrying out experiments and product validation using test equipment. For example, you’ll break stuff in our heated pressure vessel at 10,000 psi and 200 °C and then figure out what went wrong.
- Replacing and repairing components, and refurbishing our ultrasonic scanning tools.
- Ensuring high standards of quality while learning new technologies.
- Quality control: measurement of incoming parts with reference to drawings.
- This position does not have any automation or programming related work.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in product assembly or technical hobbies in mechanics or electronics.
- Soldering experience.
- Mechanical aptitude – hands‑on experience in assembling,
disassembling, and restacking components.
- Ability to read and comprehend mechanical drawings and schematics.
- Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Strong interest in building and tinkering with electronics or mechanics as evidenced by hobbies or previous jobs.
- Technical certificate or diploma from a technical institute (manufacturing, mechatronics, electrical, electronics, mechanical, or a similar field).
- Ability to build components from spec.
- Familiarity with electronic testing equipment such as multi‑meters.
- Experience in QC and measurement of components.
- Experience soldering under a microscope.
- Meticulous, accurate, and detail‑oriented approach.
General Compensation
We anticipate paying $50,000 to $65,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
Compensation ranges are estimates based on market data and may vary depending on a candidate’s knowledge, skills, and location.
