Job Title: Mountain Crew Supervisor (Winter 26/27)

Role Status: Full Time / Seasonal / Hourly

JOB SUMMARY
The Mountain Crew Supervisor supports the Duty Managers with the execution of all winter mountain operations and oversees the Mountain Crew and Winter Attractions teams. You are a key and important member of the mountain operations team, ensuring a protected and exceptional experience for all mountain guests.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Establishing and maintaining all aspects of Winter Mountain Crew operations, including but not limited to; Sliding Zone, Skate Rink, Sleigh Ride, Ice Rink, Fire Pit, Light Walk, snow removal, pathways etc.
Adhering to all operational and safety procedures
Conducting daily safety briefings/toolbox talks
Ensuring daily log sheets and checks are completed for each mountain attraction and applicable machines
Ensuring machinery is left in good working condition and perform small repairs to ice rink, snow blowers, line trimmers, lawnmowers, etc.
Assisting as the key point person for events such as the Peak of Christmas
Training, coaching and overseeing Mountain Crew staff
Coordinating daily breaks, staff locations and daily job lists for the Mountain Crew team
Ensuring adequate staffing levels for efficient operation
Coaching and motivating staff to maintain a high standard of customer service
Covering breaks for Mountain Crew staff when required
Assisting with transport and providing labour for various jobs
Other duties as required
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position provides direct supervision to the following positions: Mountain Crew, Winter Attractions Crew, Transport and Snow Shovelers.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES
Functional knowledge or previous experience in winter operations
Enjoy working outdoors and maintaining high service standards during inclement weather conditions
Knowledge of Grouse Mountain policies and procedures preferred
Possess proven leadership abilities
Ability to lift up to 40 lbsClass 5 license preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS
Hours of Operation are weather dependant. Due to the nature of the business, this position requires flexibility in terms of your work schedule.
A variety of work schedules may include a variety of start times, including shifts on weekends and statutory holidays. Shifts require standing for long periods of time, lifting, twisting, and other forms of manual tasks.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$22.66 to 26.50/hour
