West Oak Investments Ltd. is seeking a dedicated & knowledgeable Building Operator to join our team. You will provide in office building operations & maintenance, oversee vendors, & ensure all properties are cared for in a secure & environmentally conscious manner.

Responsibilities
Ensure tenant satisfaction through robust customer service & responsiveness
Operate building systems: mechanical, electrical, & automation
Ensure completion of repairs & planned maintenance, both interior & exterior, including scheduling & monitoring contractors as needed
Maintain cleanliness & presentability of properties, including garbage removal
Ensure overall security of the building
Monitor & maintain positive relationships with contractors & tenants
Ensure compliance with all policies & procedures
Assist & maintain consistent communication with property manager(s) to achieve all organizational objectives

Requirements




Team leader with strong customer service & collaboration skills
Willingness to advance knowledge & experience
Flexibility in taking on various duties & work on call, on a rotational basis
Proficiency in the English language, both written & verbal
Ability to understand, communicate & ensure compliance with Health & Safety practices
Experience with HVAC equipment & Building/Facility Automation Systems
Proven relevant mechanical/electrical aptitude & trouble-shooting skills
Computer literacy & experience using digital services
Education with building systems, construction/carpentry or equivalent combination of education & experience is an asset
Building Systems Maintenance Technician or Systems Maintenance Administrator is an asset
A valid 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency is an asset
Valid driver's license required
Fireman Boiler Operator or willingness to obtain is required
