We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Students to support our Human Resources (HR) team. This role provides hands-on experience across multiple business functions, with a strong focus on data analysis, reporting, and process support.
The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel, enjoys working with data, and has strong communication skills.
Main Accountabilities Assist with data entry, validation, and maintenance of records
Perform basic data analysis (trend analysis, variance checks, etc.)
Update and maintain databases
Help with reporting and analysis related to workforce data
Maintain procurement records, vendor data, and purchase orders
Clean, analyze, and validate large datasets using Excel
Create reports,



pivot tables, and dashboards to support decision-making
Assist with process improvement initiatives and workflow efficiencies
Provide administrative support across teams as needed
Main Qualifications Currently enrolled in Business, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, or related field
Robust proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills
High attention to detail and data accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Compensation The expected salary range for this position is CAD $30 per hour, aligned with Baffinland’s approved compensation framework and current market conditions.
