Reporting to the VP, Strategic Initiatives, Corporate Strategy Office, this role will play a critical part in driving post-merger integration activities for a recently announced acquisition, ensuring alignment with Definity's strategic objectives.This role is ideal for a seasoned integration professional who thrives in complex environments and brings deep expertise in post-merger integration execution across business lines and corporate functions.What can you expect in this role?Integration Strategy ExecutionDevelop and manage detailed integration plans across multiple business lines and functions.Translate strategic objectives into actionable integration roadmaps and milestones.Analyze current-state operations and design integrated future-state models to support synergy realization.Cross-Functional CollaborationFacilitate alignment sessions and workshops with stakeholders across business units.Identify and resolve cross-functional integration issues, risks, and dependencies.Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned workstreams, providing insight and guidance to ensure successful execution.Synergy & Operational OptimizationIdentify and quantify synergies aligned with the strategic rationale of the acquisition.Track and report on synergy realization and integration progress.Recommend process improvements and system integrations to enhance operational efficiency.Change Enablement & CommunicationSupport cultural integration and change management initiatives.Prepare and deliver integration updates, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.Maintain transparent documentation and reporting to ensure transparency and accountability.Qualifications10+ years of experience in post-merger integration, corporate strategy, or transformation, ideally within financial services or management consulting.Proven ability to manage complex integration programs as a senior individual contributor.Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.Undergraduate degree from a leading institution; MBA or equivalentadvanced degree preferred.Expert proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and project management tools; familiarity with Visio and MS Project is an asset.Insurance industry experience is an asset.What do you bring to this role?Ability to perform under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple, conflicting prioritiesStrong relationship building skills and a team player: demonstrated ability to collaborate with others to achieve resultsStrong business acumen, with demonstrated aptitude for strategic, analytical, and critical thinkingA high degree of personal ethics, integrity, and responsibility with an ability to deal with sensitive issues and safeguard confidential information.This role is focused on M&A post-merger integration and not M&A pre-deal activities (due diligence, financial modeling, valuation etc.).
