Title: Freight Broker

Location: Mississauga, ON

Wage: $20.00 - $30/hr based on experience

Shift: 8:30am- 5:00pm

Shifts available: Monday to Friday

Our client is a fast-growing logistics and transportation company located in Mississauga. They are looking to add a Freight Broker who can manage and coordinate shipments while supporting daily brokerage operations in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and previous freight or logistics experience.

Job Duties

Book and coordinate freight shipments with carriers across North America

Negotiate rates with carriers to ensure competitive and cost-effective pricing

Arrange and schedule pickups and deliveries as required

Track and monitor shipments to ensure on-time performance

Communicate shipment updates, delays, and resolutions to customers

Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and clients

Process shipping documentation including rate confirmations and bills of lading

Source available carriers for both dedicated and spot freight

Resolve shipment issues and provide timely solutions to customers and carriers

Maintain accurate records of loads, pricing, and carrier performance

Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures





Work collaboratively with internal teams to support daily operations

Job Requirements

Previous experience as a Freight Broker required

Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills

Ability to multitask and manage high-volume workloads

Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and transportation systems (TMS an asset)

Detail-oriented with robust problem-solving abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

High school diploma required; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain considered an asset
