Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry
Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene in all kitchen areas
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours
Educate and guide junior staff or trainees on proper sushi techniques and presentation skills
Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood and other supplies
Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure consistency across all dishes
Assist in menu development by suggesting innovative sushi creations that appeal to diverse tastes
Qualifications Proven experience working as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine
Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and seafood handling
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Secondary(high) school graduation certificate is required.
Formal culinary training is an asset.
