Job Title: Welder/Fitter - Custom Metal Fabrications

Location: Burlington, Ontario

Rate of Pay: $35.00/hour to start

Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:45pm & Friday, 7:30am-3:45pm (44h/week)

Job Type: Temporary to permanent

Our client in Burlington is hiring for an experienced Skilled Welder/Fitter or Fabricator . Their company has provided custom welding and fabrication services since 1960! This is a long-term opportunity with a busy fabrication shop with lots of room to grow. We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of recent welding experience.

Job Responsibilities:

Create custom fabrications from drawings

Plan/fit parts to meet required configurations and positions for welding

Frequent MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless, and aluminum

Use of hand and power tools, and other machining equipment

Use of various finishing techniques as required for specific jobs

Complete quality inspections

Use of forklifts and overhead cranes to move product on occasion





Other general duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

5+ years of experience in a similar fabricating role required

5+ years of MIG welding experience required

Experience with TIG, stainless, and aluminum preferred

Must be mechanically inclined

Experience in reading, interpreting, and understanding shop drawings

Ability to produce high-quality work and work under minimal supervision

Solid written and verbal communication skills

Proven time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Works well with others and aids peers when needed
