Osprey Electric is currently hiring Level 2–4 Electrical Apprentices to join our team in the Courtenay / Comox Valley . If you're eager to learn, take pride in your work, and want to gain experience on a wide variety of projects, we'd love to hear from you.

As an apprentice at Osprey Electric, you'll work alongside experienced Red Seal Journeypersons and Foremen who are committed to mentoring the next generation of electricians. You'll gain valuable hands‑on experience while working on residential, commercial, and multi‑residential electrical projects throughout Central Vancouver Island.

Every day brings a new opportunity to learn, develop your skills, and move one step closer to becoming a Journeyperson Electrician.

What You'll Be Doing
As part of our team, you'll assist with a wide range of electrical installations while continuing to build your skills and experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with residential, commercial, and multi-residential electrical projects

Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical systems under the supervision of experienced electricians

Completing rough-ins, finishing work, panel installations, lighting, and electrical equipment installations

Pulling wire, installing devices, and assisting with service work

Reading and interpreting basic electrical drawings and project specifications

Using hand and power tools safely and effectively

Working safely on construction sites,



ladders, lifts, and rooftops when required

Maintaining clean, organized, and professional worksites

Communicating professionally with customers, contractors, and team members

Following the Canadian Electrical Code and Osprey Electric's safety standards

Continuing to develop your skills through mentorship, training, and hands‑on experience

What We're Looking For
We're looking for apprentices who are motivated to learn, work hard, and become exceptional electricians.

Qualifications include:

Registered Level 2–4 Electrical Apprentice

Minimum 1,500 hours of electrical experience

Valid Class 5 Driver's License

Previous residential, commercial, or multi‑residential experience is considered an asset

Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

Positive attitude and strong communication skills

Reliable, organized, and dependable

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Safety-focused with pride in delivering quality workmanship

Skilled and respectful when working with customers and fellow trades
