The House of Commons is actively seeking candidates for the Maintenance and Material Handling roles within its Operations Services. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide quality cleaning, material handling, and event setup in a prestigious environment. You’ll engage in custodial duties, assist with recycling efforts, and contribute to the Greening the Hill program, all essential for maintaining the Parliamentary Precinct.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure thorough cleaning of indoor and outdoor spaces
• Handle material delivery and setups for events
• Perform office moves and assist with custodial services
• Participate in the recycling program and sustainability initiatives
• Complete tasks requiring physical activities at heights
Requirements:
• Bilingual in English and French
• Experience in custodial or material handling roles
• Secondary School Diploma or related qualifications
• Willingness to work flexible schedule and shifts
• Pass a pre-placement medical/physical fitness assessment
