REPORTING TO:Program Manager and Program Lead
SUMMARY OF WORK:
The Support Care Worker will assist guiding clients and families through the admissions process, and providing daily support, encouragement, and care as clients participate in recovery programming. This is a dual role, requiring robust organizational skills, compassion, and the ability to balance administrative responsibilities with direct client support in a therapeutic community environment. Support Care Workers will foster a safe, recovery-oriented environment while promoting personal responsibility, community engagement, and sustained recovery.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL QUALITIES:
Degree, Diploma or certification in psychology, social work, addictions, nursing, or a related field is an asset; equivalent experience considered.
Experience in healthcare, addictions recovery, behavioral health, or client admissions is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate, nonjudgmental approach.
Ability to handle sensitive client information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage both client support and administrative duties.
CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
Willing to work weekends and either Friday or Monday depending on the week.
SALARY RANGE:
In accordance with the Blood Tribe Department of Health Inc. Salary Grid.
