Confined Space Entry Technicians - Tank Cleaning Division - Camp - Fort McMurray, AB
Vertex is seeking Confined Space Entry Technicians for temporary, project-based summer and fall field work within their Tank Cleaning Division in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This opportunity is ideal for apprentice pipefitters, welders, boilermakers, and mechanical trades looking to gain hands-on industrial experience. Successful candidates will work alongside experienced teams, performing confined space entry and industrial cleaning operations, and will receive valuable safety training. The ideal candidate is physically fit, eager to learn, and comfortable working in challenging environments away from home.

What You’ll Need

Interest in gaining industrial field experience

Physically able to lift and carry up to 45 kg





Ability to stand, crouch, kneel, and work for extended periods

Willing and able to work away from home in Northern Alberta for the entirety of the projects

Ability to provide own transportation to mobilization site in Nisku

Comfortable entering confined tanks and working under respirator air

Clean Drug & Alcohol Testing (provided by Vertex)

Clean Shaven Fit Testing (provided by Vertex)

Pre-Access Orientation (provided by Vertex)

Required safety tickets (can be obtained prior to start): Energy Safety Canada H2S Alive, Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry and Monitor, CSO (Common Safety Orientation), CSTS 2020
