In this vital full-time role, you will assist patients with daily living activities and support nurses in delivering personalized care. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will engage patients, families, and communities across various settings, including home and healthcare facilities. Your responsibilities will embrace critical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication to enhance patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support patients with hygiene, nutrition, and mobility needs
• Assist nurses in providing routine care and reporting health status
• Facilitate organized programs and activities for patient engagement
• Promote a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals for effective communication
Requirements:
• Certification or eligibility as a Health Care Aide in Alberta
• 2-3 years of HCA experience preferred
• Current BLS, Palliative, and Wound Care Course certifications
• Ability to perform full scope of HCA practice
• Proof of Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months
