Become a vital support worker with the Fort St. John Association for Community Living, specializing in overnight shifts to enhance community living. This role involves providing essential life skills support, cooking, and fostering social activities.
FSJACL is seeking a committed and inspired support worker dedicated to empowering individuals in their daily lives. You will assist with cooking, cleaning, yardwork, medication reminders, and promote community participation. Training will be provided for all tasks, ensuring you are well-prepared to make a positive impact.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with cooking, meal planning, and grocery shopping
• Support cleaning, laundry, and home organization tasks
• Help with yardwork and basic home maintenance
• Provide medication reminders and support
• Encourage community participation and social activities
Requirements:
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s license with three years of experience
• Ability to perform lifting and transferring tasks
• Completed Seizure Management training
• Knowledge of Crisis Prevention Intervention
• Familiarity with medication administration
Contribute to the quality of life for those in the community through caregiving and support.
