About the Role The Warehouse Manager will oversee daily operations across all warehouse functions including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping, and regulatory compliance. You will lead a team in a multi-temperature environment (ambient, refrigerated, frozen), driving safety, accuracy, efficiency, and food safety excellence, while supporting a culture of accountability and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership Manage the full scope of warehouse activities including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, shipping, and returns. Maintain a high-performing, efficient warehouse by optimizing space utilization, slotting, and labor planning. Ensure operational targets are consistently met or exceeded across KPIs such as order accuracy, fill rates, on-time shipping, and inventory turns. Compliance & Food Safety Ensure all processes align with CFIA, HACCP, and SQF food safety requirements. Lead food safety audits, mock recalls,



and training to ensure traceability and compliance. Maintain clean, protected, and organized warehouse zones in accordance with company and government standards. Supervise, train, and coach a team of warehouse staff and supervisors (unionized environment experience is an asset). Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Participate in health and safety initiatives and ensure all required training is up to date. Oversee inventory accuracy and lead regular cycle counts and full physical inventories. Work closely with supply chain and logistics teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure customer satisfaction. Utilize WMS and ERP systems (e.G., SAP or AS400) for tracking, reporting, and workflow optimization. Qualifications 5+ years of warehouse leadership experience in food, grocery, or CPG distribution. Strong working knowledge of cold chain logistics, food safety standards, and warehouse best practices. Experience managing teams in unionized environments is preferred. Proficiency with WMS, AS400, or SAP, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Clear, confident communicator with strong leadership and organizational skills. Forklift/power equipment certification is an asset.
