We are seeking a skilled Overhead Door Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining overhead doors in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a solid understanding of construction practices, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work safely and efficiently on various projects. Prior experience with hand tools and working at heights is highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that contribute to the safety and functionality of our clients properties.

Duties

Install overhead doors, including tracks, springs, cables, and openers, adhering to manufacturer specifications and safety standards

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation and alignment

Use hand tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers,



and levels to complete installations

Perform maintenance and repairs on existing overhead doors and related hardware

Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion while maintaining safety protocols

Maintain a clean work environment and properly dispose of debris following safety guidelines

Travel & Availability: Willingness for out-of-town travel for installation and service work. On call rotation schedule.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction or carpentry with familiarity in overhead door installation preferred

Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction equipment

Knowledge of schematics related to door mechanisms and electrical components is a plus

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various weather conditions

Valid drivers license for transportation between job sites

Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol (D&A;) testing for site access or post-incident requirements.

Commitment to safety standards and procedures

Minimum 2 - 3 Years Experience would be a asset
