Overview
Scott Builders Inc. is seeking energetic, motivated, and highly skilled Commercial/Industrial Journeyman Carpenters to support our construction projects. Scott Builders Inc. specializes in total construction services, offering a single point of contact for every phase of a project. Established in 1971, Scott Builders stands among the leading Design/Build Contractors in Canada. The successful candidate will have previous experience planning and constructing various types of commercial buildings, including wood, steel, and concrete. This role requires the ability to read and interpret building plans and blueprints, prepare layouts in accordance with building codes, and meet project timelines. A strong commitment to safety practices and adherence to company safety programs is required.

Responsibilities

Perform general commercial construction tasks on-site

Read and interpret building plans and blueprints

Prepare layouts in accordance with building codes

Construct structures using wood, steel, and concrete materials

Operate a variety of heavy equipment as required

Ensure work is completed according to project timelines

Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Work collaboratively within a team environment

Take direction from supervisors and contribute to team success

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience

Strong understanding of building codes

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Experience operating heavy equipment with appropriate certifications

Valid driver’s license

Ability to take direction and work effectively in a team environment

Robust commitment to customer service

Flexibility to work overtime and travel as required





Fall Protection certification considered an asset

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of commercial construction experience

Full-time

Wage Range
$25.00 - $45.00

Work Conditions

Commercial and industrial construction sites

Physically demanding work environment

Exposure to outdoor conditions

Overtime and out-of-town work may be required

Team-oriented work setting
