Job Description: Performs a variety of analytical procedures, analysis and laboratory duties for the detection, diagnosis, prevention and management of disease and illness.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Education e.g. Chemistry required in Chemistry, Microbiology in Microbiology, etc.
Major dependent on specific specialty area:
Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in defined science & required courses




BSC 4-yr degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry
Intro Chemistry (similar to U of R Chemistry 104 or 105)
Organic Chemistry (similar to U of R Chemistry 241)
Analytical Chemistry I, II (similar to U of R Chemistry 210, 310/215)
Separation Chemistry (Similar to U of R Chemistry 312)
Biochemistry (6 Cr. Hrs.)
Statistics (3 Cr. Hrs.)
Competencies Organizational skills
Analytical skills
Intermediate - Computer skills
Communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Abilities Ability to work independently
Other Information Valid driver's license, where required
Rotating on-call required.
