We have an opening for an experienced Material Handler to join our team in Newmarket!
The Material Handler works on the production floor and warehouse of a busy manufacturing facility moving product and various materials to different areas.
Major Areas of Responsibilities Operate Forklift, bed movers (certification required), handcarts, and hydraulic jacks
Daily inspection of forklift and bed movers
Responsible for up-keep of forklift
Safe transport and storage of goods received, coils, boxes, etc.
Weigh coil & accurate documentation
Packaging product
Stacking goods on skids
Distributing raw materials to production lines in a timely fashion
Inventory / cycle counts as required
Moving of all finished product to shipping areas
Depositing of metal scrap in appropriate bins – steel and aluminum
Proper stock rotation of all materials used for production. Oldest used first
General housekeeping of work areaOther duties as required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Must possess strong forklift skills
Strong organizational skills
Effective communicator with staff as well as all levels of management
Solid attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
Thrives working in a very fast-paced environment
Flexible to changing needs of the department




Willingness to work to meet deadlines
Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
Adhere to health & safety policies and procedures at all times
Education/Certification/Experience Forklift and bedmover experience (3 years) [required]
Previous manufacturing experience (asset)
Work Schedule Day Shift 7am-4pm Monday-Friday
