About The Opportunity Position Summary This position will deliver products via semi‑truck to multiple locations.
Pay Band and Position Status Pay Band -$25.00 hourly
This posting is for an existing vacancy
Duties Drive gasoline or diesel‑powered tractor‑trailer combination with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport and deliver corrugated products
Drive truck to destination, applying knowledge of area roads, commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations, such as narrow passageways
Maintain telephone or radio contact with dispatcher to receive delivery instructions
Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water before and after trips and submit a report indicating truck condition/defects
Maintain driver log according to state and federal regulations
Position wheel chocks secure truck during unloading
May assist workers in loading and unloading truck
Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities DOT Approved Class A License
Industrial Truck Operator Certificate Education & Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent
Physical Requirements & Work Environment Occasionally stand and walk, push/pull
Occasionally bend, squat, twist, kneel and crouch
Continuously use hand, foot control and sit
Continuously use hands for grasping
Occasionally carry or lift up to 50 lbs.
Continuously use head and neck in flex and rotating
Occasionally reach above shoulder level
Occasionally be in dusty conditions, be around moving machinery
Occasionally operate a forklift
Frequently climb to a height of 5 feet
Occasionally operate hand tools
