We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our small office team. The successful candidate will be organized, accurate, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Prepare invoices, record payments, and follow up on outstanding balances

Process payroll accurately and on schedule

Prepare and file GST and PST returns

Perform monthly bank reconciliations

Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and files

Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements

Support general administrative and accounting duties as required





Identify discrepancies and use critical-thinking skills to resolve issues

Qualifications and Skills

Previous experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role

Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable procedures

Experience with payroll processing and GST/PST filings

Understanding of bank reconciliations and financial statements

Solid attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with Sage accounting software and Microsoft Office applications is an asset
