The Opportunity

RVS is currently seeking applications for a continuing, full-time (40 hrs/week) Caretaker II position to provide routine cleaning duties at Horseshoe Crossing High School and Langdon School starting August 24, 2026. The schedule will be Monday to Friday and must be available to work the day shift supporting multiple sites as assigned.

Under the supervision of the Head Building Operator (HBO), the Caretaker II provides caretaking services at their assigned RVS facilities. The Caretaker II is responsible for keeping school buildings, grounds, contents, and furnishings in good appearance and in clean, tidy, sanitary condition, as assigned by their supervisor. In addition,



the Caretaker II supports and assists the HBO as directed.

Responsibilities Include

Attention to detail related to varied and complex cleaning tasks
Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks within a team environment
Demonstrated pride in workmanship
Performs building security checks as scheduled by the Head Building Operator
Keeps assigned sidewalks, steps, and entrances free from ice and snow
Experience working in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS and other relevant legislation

Education/Experience

Previous cleaning experience is considered an asset
Certifications from cleaning organization is considered an asset
Previous experience within a school division is considered an asset
An equivalent combination of Education and Experience may be considered

Knowledge/Skills

Working knowledge of proper cleaning procedure
Ability to successfully work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Effective use of Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applications

Proof of qualifications/education as required by the position including WES/IQAS evaluation documents for completed education outside of Canada.
