You will not only design warehouse solutions but also play a key role in structuring and standardizing design logic into reusable frameworks that power next-generation solution design systems.You’ll have the opportunity to influence how system design evolves—moving from one-off solutions to scalable, repeatable approaches. This is a high-ownership role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in ambiguous, early-stage environments and building from first principles.Mandate:Translate real-world warehouse design into structured logicBuild reusable domain models for system designBridge operations with product and computational systemsMust Have:5–10+ years of industrial engineering experience in warehouse, logistics, or 3PL environmentsHands-on experience designing warehouse layouts, staffing models, and process flowsStrong understanding of warehouse operations (inbound, outbound, storage, fulfillment)Experience with labor modeling, productivity drivers, and equipment selectionAbility to translate real-world systems into structured logic and modelsFamiliarity with spreadsheet-driven modeling approachesExposure to analytical tools (SQL, Python) is preferredExperience in consulting, solution design, or operational engineering environmentsKey Responsibilities:System Design & Problem StructuringDesign end-to-end warehouse and logistics systemsBreak down workflows into structured components (processes, constraints, decision points)Translate ambiguous requirements into model-ready problem definitionsDomain Modeling & Knowledge StructuringConvert operational know-how into structured frameworks, rules, and parametersDefine and refine process assumptions (time standards,



throughput, resource utilization)Create reusable representations of system components, such as:Labor and staffing modelsEquipment and infrastructure choicesSpace and flow design principlesProduct & Modeling CollaborationWork with product and engineering teams to translate domain logic into scalable systemsDefine how trade-offs (cost, service, space, throughput) are represented in modelsSupport the development of systems that evaluate multiple design scenariosValidation & Continuous ImprovementValidate system outputs against real-world feasibilityIdentify gaps between models and executionContinuously refine system logic based on feedbackQualifications & Skills:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or a related fieldExperience in consulting, solution design, or operational engineering environments is highly valuedProven experience working as a Solutions Engineer or Industrial Engineer within large-scale 3PL, logistics, or supply chain organizations (senior-level experience preferred)Strong understanding of warehouse design, operational workflows, and end-to-end solutioning in logistics environmentsAbility to translate operational requirements into structured models and scalable design frameworksExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsWhat Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days:30 Days In: Understand & Deconstruct the ProblemBuild a deep understanding of how warehouse design is currently done (internally and across design partners)Clearly map the end-to-end solution design process (demand → process → labor → space → cost)Identify and document key inputs, assumptions, and decision drivers used in real-world designsBegin structuring core components such as:Process time standardsLabor modeling logicEquipment and facility constraintsEstablish strong working cadence with Product, Engineering, and the Chief Scientist60 Days In: Structure & Encode Core LogicTranslate real-world design thinking into structured frameworks and reusable logicBuild initial versions of:Process and throughput modelsStaffing and labor assumptionsEquipment and space allocation rulesContribute to defining:Key system inputsConstraints and boundariesDecision variables that drive design outcomesStart testing structured logic against historical RFPs or known designs90 Days In: Validate & Enable the SystemDeliver a usable domain foundation that supports the scenario engine and early modeling effortsValidate system outputs against real-world designs and identify gaps or inaccuraciesRefine assumptions and logic based on feedback from internal teams and design partnersEnable the system to produce credible,
